I began school as a Biology major for 2 years, so I have a great science background. I love to teach children. I finished my Masters program in December 07 and began teaching at the school I did my internship at, Briarcliff MS. I taught grades 6-8 and filled in for a Special Ed teacher at the end of the year. Though applicable to any subject, for science and math I adhere to the inquiry method. I'm believe in the teacher finding something interesting in what is being taught, asking leading questions with which the students answer, and having the students learn through their answers. Lecturing is my least favorite method, and I believe the least effective.
