A Little Bit About Me...

All through high school I was told that I would grow up to become a teachers. My mentors always believed that I had the strong teaching quality in me. I began tutoring my peers and was successful in helping a failing student graduate on time! Since high school I attended college and graduated with honors. I am now working at a Preschool/Daycare and enjoy working with the younger children knowing that I am shaping their educational experience. I am going back to school so that I can become an elementary teacher!

I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor degree in Art History. My university experience has provided me with excellent skills in research, writing, oral presentation, and a broad knowledge of art and history. I am analytical and creative and have a great love for reading and discussing my favorite subjects. I have one year experience tutoring GED students in a writing prep class. More About This Tutor...

I have done a lot of teaching and tutoring, both with adults and young people. Most of my experience, though, comes from working with high school and junior high school students. I spent the majority of that time as a tutor/ mentor and would work with the students one on one or in small groups, both in the library or in the classroom. It was really the most wonderful experience and I was able to provide tremendous benefits to the students on both an academic and personal level.
I really do place something of a premium on being able to connect with all of my students on an academic and personal level. I believe that this helps them as they know that their teacher and tutor cares about them and their future and, as such, this causes them to grow and excel. I can attest to such things happening with many of my students and for that I am incredibly thankful.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a very modifiable style of teaching, meaning I cater to the student or students. I quickly learn the curriculum and can find multiple ways to teach it. This allows me to utilize the students major styles of learning and develop the areas where they may struggle. Teaching this way helps mold a complete student who is able to understand themselves and can learn from any lesson.
While attending and completing four years of Education courses at a well respected institution I was focused and driven to complete the curriculum and focus on creative lesson planning.
