I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. My comments on tutoring GED : I graduated high-school with a 5.1 GPA (AP courses raise average), and I have previously tutored a friend earning his GED.

Students much be allowed to have a certain freedom to choose likes and strengths as well as weaknesses. We all have them!
