I will be honest with you. I have never tutored a child before at a professional standpoint. I will say I have always gotten along with children, and have an ability to help them learn, while making it fun as well. I am 24 years old, an only child, and no children of my own. But through the years all of my close friends were having children at a young age!! When my friends would visit the kids followed along! Simple things like reading a book with them. A Little Bit About Me...

To be honest I have no experience in teaching outside of the college setting. The two years marked denotes my two years in upper division English classes at SVSU where student critiquing was the norm. Beyond helping my friends with their papers I took several classes on teaching and as such have academic experience, but not real world (ie K-12) experience. I have been in several writing workshops that cover a variety of English facets from research writing to creative writing to poetry. This spanned the second two years of my college career.
