The Achievement Centers, our after school tutorial/diagnostic clinic and before and after school care, is available for all ages and subjects. Tutoring and diagnostic testing is available after school, evenings (Monday – Friday) and Saturday mornings. The clinic is available year-round. Our testing clinician and school psychologist offer a Psychoeducational Evaluation to all new students. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been fascinated with tutoring for the past three years ago. I began tutoring one of the professors at the University of IL at Chicago in a foreign language. Since then, I have been tutoring various age groups from eight years old to fifty four years old. I received my Bachelor degree in Biology from University of IL at Chicago. While studying Biology, I was able to take various courses in science such as Math, Physics, General and Organic Chemistry, Physiology and biology.
I believe a great teacher needs to have proper skills and talents for teaching. I learned a lot while growing up from a great teacher; my mother. I recently graduated from North Park University, summa cum laude. I have earned a BGS in Human Development which has enabled me to understand the cultural, social and psychological dynamics of human development. While at NPU, I served as a private humanities tutor and strived to help students achieve their academic goals. For the past year and half, I have volunteered my time at Gilda’s Club Chicago and have worked closely with men, women, and children who are diagnosed with cancer. I have been teaching for 25 years. I began as a high-school teacher, taught grade school and special education, and then spent 20 years as a university professor of English and philosophy. I started tutoring as a graduate student and have been doing it on and off now for 20 years.

Here is Some Good Information About Florida Writes Tutoring

The Florida Writing Assessment was implemented in grades 4, 8, and 10 as required by a law passed by the 1990 legislature. Does your student need a tutor? Beginning in 2010, each essay was scored by one rater. In previous years, two raters were used and the scores were averaged. Prior to 2010, a student could have received a half-point score, such as 4.5; whereas since 2010, no half-point scores are possible. Additionally, beginning in 2010, each student within the same grade level was required to write an essay using the same mode of writing (narrative, expository, or persuasive).
