I am a seasoned adjunct instructor and tutor at the introductory level at a Community College. I have taught a graduate level Chemistry course at a Masters granting College. My education includes a M.S. Polymer Chemistry/Science, B.S. in Biology and 46 Credits of Chemistry . More importantly I have worked as a teaching assistant at a School for Autistic children. Through this experience and others I developed a high level of patient and understanding of the different styles of learning and the broad spectrum of speed for which children master concept.
I am a firm believer that strict memorization does not allow the student to broaden their ability to solve problems of various flavors. I am a very motivated and high-achieving person. I recently earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing a MS in Teacher Education while working as an intern in an elementary setting. I have an Interim Teacher License. Through my coursework in college, I have gained skills in several areas such as math, science, reading, writing, and psychology. Through coursework, I have also learned highly effective ways to teach each of these subjects. I have 1-year experience as an independent tutor in math. While completing my BA, I worked with students one-on-one and in small groups in several area schools. I am currently completing an internship in a fourth-grade classroom as a requirement for my MS.
