My comments on tutoring Anatomy : Received an A in college level Anatomy and physiology course.

I believe that stimulating conversation and allowing people to arrive at answers on their own and through experience is the best way to form lasting connections.
I took a variety of Biology classes and Labs at WPI mostly focused on Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. I recently finished my PH.D. where I studied control of viral gene expression. This work encompassed a variety of biological disciplines including virology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics, all of which I am quite experienced in. I also have experience teaching in a seminar format as well as in small groups. As a senior graduate student I was responsible for leading discussions prior to invited speaker seminars.

A Little Bit About Me...

It wasn't until I completed my B.S. degree and had a child of my own to fully understand the importance of an education. My son was diagnosed with Autism, this diagnosis woke in me a new desire to learn. I went on to complete my Masters Degree while working on my son's social, language and educational development. I became an adovcate for children and have an understanding for children with LD. I studied education at Montclair State University for 4 years but I have a always been a teacher. As a recent college graduate, it is my strong belief that education can open doors to opportunities.
