I am in my sixth year of teaching high school mathematics in Rural West Tennessee. I am currently teaching Geometry, and I have also taught Algebra 1 and Bridge Math. I am a stickler for proper sentence structure, grammar, and spelling; I believe that a command of written English can open doors in life which appeared previously to be intractably sealed, and can create either employment or advancement opportunities which might not otherwise have been possible. An obvious example is how a well-written resume and cover letter will many times make all the difference in whether or not you find yourself in front of the interviewer. Our society seems to be losing its affection for the written word, both reading it and composing it, and I have enjoyed the privilege over many years of helping willing individuals refine and sharpen their use of language to express themselves more clearly and accurately.

Using my undergraduate degree in accounting, I have 10 years work experience as an internal auditor and a computer accounting staff accountant for three CPA firms. I have an additional number of years of work experience as a mid-level manager of computer programmers and web developers.
