My comments on tutoring ACT : professional development training in ACT prep as well as test taking skills scored a 30 in math and 28 overall myself. Of the 4 students I've tutored in ACT prep 3 scored over 20 the first attempt, none below 18 on the 1st attempt

I would describe my teaching style as dynamic, creative student-centered
I've either taught or tutored in some form or fashion for over 17yrs now. I've had ages 3yrs to 22yrs old covering all manner of subjects and hobbies. One of my most rewarding experience was with an 18 year old special needs 10th grader ready to drop out of school. We met 2-3x a week for 6mths. In that time he raised his GPA from 1.2 to 2.7. He completed his 10th grade year and went on to take and pass the G.E.D. the following year.

Despite a demanding, accelerated academic schedule, during my three years at a competitive private college I voluntarily tutored underprivileged elementary students. In earning my BA in Sociology/Anthropology I became well versed on understanding people from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. I also have a strong background in the social sciences including social studies, history and language arts. My first experiences with tutoring were as a volunteer when I was an undergraduate. I tutored a variety of students from children to adults and found great joy in being able to help them learn math. During my time as a graduate student, I have tutored many students ranging from a group of 3rd graders to college level students.
