I am a natural teacher - it's what I do when I'm not getting paid. I just like to share knowledge of what, why, when, where, and how. I have never officially taught, but I have been told by my peers that they believe I would have some skill at it. Mostly, my teaching style would involve working through problems or homework step by step with a student at first, and then once they gain more confidence, allowing them to do more work on their own. Like learning to ride a bike, I believe that almost anything can be taught this way. I would hope to use as much visual aid as possible, and I really enjoy doing hands-on things when a subject calls for it. I have been a tutor at the Boys and Girls Club here in decatur for three years. During undergraduate i was a math tutor for two years. For the last year I have been a substitute teacher at the Decatur Public Schools. I have a bachelors degree in business and a MBA from Benedictine University.
