Hi, my name is Shonda Leaks and I’m originally from Detroit Michigan. I have been working in the auto industry for about 20 years. I have degrees in Psychology and Quality control. Along with working in manufacturing, I was a substitute teacher at Macomb Community College in Warren Mi and tutored stats for Rochester College as well. After completing my MS in Mathematics from CSU East Bay, I began tutoring high school students privately. Then, I taught Finite Math, Elementary Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra courses at Faulkner University and at Auburn University Montgomery as an adjunct instructor. This past year I taught high school math, science and Spanish at a Success Unlimited Academy (private). I also tutored K-12 students in math and science. I have successfully worked with autistic as well as children with ADD.

I truly enjoy teaching math and enjoy watching the 'click' when a student begins to understand the concepts. I believe many students have been erroneously convinced that "they don't get math" or that math is too hard.
