My teaching style would be to help the student formulate the problem, enabling them to arrive at the final solution by themselves. If he/she had trouble with this, I would give hints allowing them to find the correct answer. I am also very good with tips at remembering things, especially in math, which I would tell the student so they could have a better grasp of how to set up and solve all different types of problems using a simple, basic format.

This experience made me determine that becoming a teacher was what I wanted to do. I attended Siena College from September of 2005 until May of 2009. All children are students; they can learn. The question is how best do they learn? I have used many differing styles from rote memorization through self-paced self-education. I encourage students to see the wonder and "mystery" (there really isn't any mystery) of Math, regardless of the level, in the real world. To that aid, I try to present real world problems at levels the student can understand. For lower level students, I investigate with them the development of the linear equations involved in setting up a relationship between two factors. The summer after my 8th grade year was my first experience teaching. It was there that I facilitated the younger children's use of the computer facilities during a summer reading program.
