I have expectations that the student wants to learn and to achieve. I have all the time in the world for those who make the effort. Having lived overseas on two occasions and having run several businesses in many environments, I have a diversified experience base to relate authentic examples to the educational setting. I believe the best learning comes from active participation rather than passive observance.
20 year corporate management and 15 years of individual owner business experience. Presently own a finance company. 10 years International living experience. A Little Bit About Me...

My parents were both educators and my daughter is a professor, so I can say in all honesty that education has been a most important aspect of my life. I have been very successful as a college instructor and a tax school teacher. I do not have any tutoring experience but with my love of education and my own work ethic I know I can be instrumental in a students academic success.
My teaching style is based on my belief that my purpose is that the student learn the material. If that means backtracking and presenting the material in a different manner or using more examples then that is what I will do. Especially in math and accounting, the building blocks must be solid in order to advance so I do concentrate on each step being strong.

A Little Bit About Me...

I find that teaching children is a wonderful and life changing job. That helping a child learn any subject is easy when the teacher understands they are their for the benefit of the child not necessarily seeing it as 'work'. Each child learns differently at different paces and to maximize their potential the teacher must conform to their needs. Through understanding of what is being asked, repetitive problems/assignments to master the subject and then a brief and often review of the subject that the child is weakest in proves to be an excellent way of presenting information also.
