Learning is not optional. Remember...

My teaching style varies from one student to another depending on their learning style and strategies. However, in most cases, I tend to fall under the natural and communicative teaching approach for most of the subject matters.
I have been teaching and tutoring a diverse student population for almost 9 years. So far, it has been a mutually interesting experience for both parts, students and teacher. I change my teaching style depending on the client. With ESL students, I will often point out every mistake to them so that they can get used to seeing what the correct way looks like. With other students, I point out a few mistakes, and then expect them to find the others on their own. With math, I will give out a sample problem, work out how it is done, then expect the student to do a new math problem on his or her own. All in all, I will adjust my teaching style depending on the needs of the client.
I have tutored several people in the past in basic algebra for various things such as the GED or a college class.
