I have tutored Math and Chemistry in both a high school and university level. In high school, I tutored Algebra I and II, trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. At the university level I have tutored Calculus I, II, and III. I have a great mathematical background and my major in college is Mathematics with a teaching concentration. I have taken classes regarding education and the delivery of information to students.
I really like to have the student interact and do problems with me. I like to watch how their mind works on the problems. I also like to get a feel for how the student learns and try to shape my lessons around that.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and I like to teach using examples. I like to present the material in a variety of ways with the knowledge that some students are visual learners and some benefit more from verbal examples. I would provide everyday examples and relate the problems to everyday situations. I will also provide an interactive and engaging teaching style because I believe that if the student can explain the problem to me in their own words I can tell if they are understanding the material and not just learning to replicate a solution.
I am a United States Air Force veteran and I was responsible for training new airmen on the proper operation and maintenance of survey equipment. I have a deep understanding and zeal for helping people progress. I, too, came from underachieving communities but learned how to achieve because of teachers who had my best interest at stake. I believe all children have the capacity to excel with the proper preparation, guidance, and encouragement.
