I began learning Spanish at the age of 3 when I attended an Awty International School in Houston for 7 years and have since continued. I have lived with a host family in Costa Rica the summer of 2007 and again in Brazil the summer of 2010. I speak both fluently.

I worked the next 27 years in education as faculty at Brigham Young University and upon retirement at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi.
