I studied abroad in South Korea for one year, during which time I tutored Korean students in English and worked as a Classroom Aide and Assistant Teacher in several private schools. After I received my degree in Elementary Education, I was a substitute teacher in IA for one year. I then worked, taught and advised at a small private college in Iowa. I have also owned and operated a daycare in my home for over three years. Currently have have spent the past two years as a substitute teacher for the Buffalo, MN school district. This is a job I love for the simple fact that I have variety everyday. It is also a great way to stay up to date on all subject matter. I am also in the process of earning my Master's Degree in Education.

I am a graduate of St. John's University with a major in Spanish. Before attending college, I lived for a year in Venezuela, learning to perfect my spoken Spanish. While in college, I perfected my written Spanish through my degree and a semester living in Guatemala. I currently work as a Spanish interpreter and hold a liscense by the Minnesota State Court Interpreter Program.

With students, I help to make them better writers by helping answer questions, presenting questions, working through the brainstorming and paper-writing process, and helping with formatting.
