Currently a college senior, will be graduating with a B.A. in English in three weeks. Scored a 5 on 5 out of 7 AP classes taken in high school, 2030 on SAT. Currently tutoring one student in reading comprehension and one in biology, both are improving. Willing to work with all sorts of learners, flexible schedule.

Shakespeare is one of my top subjects! My students benefit from live readings,dramatizations, audio and video presentations of the plays. They are guided in their research of Shakespeare's life,the Elizabethan stage, dramatic techniques and borrowings.An appreciation of the art of rhetoric and the effectiveness of various literary devices is taught. A Little Bit About Me...

I do not have a teaching style as this implies that I or anyone can really teach another how to write. Writing is not taught in a way that science can be taught or grammar can be taught. Writing (and learning grammar and memorizing vocabulary lists are not learning how to write) is learned and my job -- as tutor or college composition instructor -- is to help students at all levels find their voice and style and indentify the challenges they face whenever they write.
