I love to work with children of any age. I have been volunteering for over 15 years helping wherever and whenever I can to help make the lives of children more enriched. I have two boys of my own (age 10 and 14) and have been successful in helping them achieve the best they can. I have been teaching kids as a substitute for many years and went back to school in my middle 30's to become a teacher. I try to find out how a student learns and mold my teaching to satisfy their learning style whether that is visual or graphic. I believe that everyone wants to do good work. I was let go from a local company earlier this year. I have decided to make a career change and my goal is to teach math at the high school level. I have a year of college to be certified. I'm a full student at CCC, and will take the Pedagogy requirements at Elmira College. I intend to tutor and substitute teach this winter and spring during college.
