A Little Bit About Me...

I am certified in both elementary and special education through SUNY Geneseo. I have been substitute teaching for the past three years while completing my Masters Degree through Western Governors University. I have tutored three students in reading, writing and mathematics. All three students had learning disabilities and all made excellent progress while working with me. Last summer I worked for a group daycare and initiated group tutoring sessions for all students who would be going to school in the fall. I worked with kindergarten, first and second graders and differentiated instruction for the students to help prepare them for the coming year.

I love to work with children of any age. I have been volunteering for over 15 years helping wherever and whenever I can to help make the lives of children more enriched. I have two boys of my own (age 10 and 14) and have been successful in helping them achieve the best they can. As a graduate of Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, I have been blessed to work with students of all grade levels. I received my BA in Elementary Education grades K-6.
