I began my teaching career at a small elementary school in Maine. While there I worked with students ranging from ages five to fifteen. Some of my more memorable experiences were working with second and third grade students who required reading interventions. I also had the chance to work with junior high students in more traditional reading and writing groups. During each of my four semesters as a graduate student at UMaine I have been responsible for teaching one section of college composition. I have taugh young girls ranging from 10-13 years old for an LDS Church, and enjoyed working with these girls, arranged activities to fun places and helped college students with certain skill sets - math, English, Computer Programming (C+, Networking, Access, PeopleSoft). I am a very helpful person who loves to help others to success with their classes, and enjoyed seeing how their grades improved with some of the help that I have rendered to these students - they did well on their tests, quizzes and coached them with Speech class as well.
