Political Science is one of my top subjects! Subject of my BA.

I helped elementary kids in highschool ('08-'09). I was a peer facilitator for highschool Biology and Advanced Placement Psychology ('09), and I have various experience helping others understand the subjects they have trouble with. I'm not a know-it-all (math is my weakness) so I understand the other side of the coin and how sometimes you just need a different way to learn.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a college senior, I've come to value greatly my education. Prior to enrolling at the University of Georgia, I made a perfect 800 on the math section of my SATs. Even though I am a science major, I have a great understanding of math. Currently, I tutor middle schoolers in basic algebra, most of whom are struggling and need a lot of help. I have also recently finished an entire college online algebra course online for someone with a 96 average.
My strongest suit in my teaching style is probably the many ways that I would approach teaching a certain principle. If the student does not understand one way to approach a problem, I try to best to help them understand and learn another way. I earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry with a minor in math. I worked for US Dept. of Agriculture as a methods development chemist which required a knowledge of chemistry, physics, math and statistics as well as high level computer skills. I have taught classes for over 15 years at Athens Area Technical College, University of Georgia Continuint Education Program and as owner and lead trainer for Athens Computer Training, Inc.
I have taught classes for students ranging from high school to adult with course material from the very basic to highly advnced concepts. I was known for covering curriculum material in a through and patient manner.
