A Little Bit About Me...

My philosophy towards education is guided by a strong desire to influence student learning and to compliment their knowledge of Biology with everyday application. I also understand the importance of motivating students in their desire to succeed academically and that in order to do this one must be able to relate to broad groups of individuals. I recently graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering. I have taken extensive courses in math and science. Math and science are fields that I love and excel at. While in undergrad I was active in many student organizations and volunteer opportunities. I volunteered at science olympiad for a year and also tutored middle school students. I have many younger siblings, all of whom I have helped with homework on several occasions.
There is no better moment that when a child becomes engaged and starts understanding and asking questions. Once a child starts asking questions you know that they are excited about it and want to learn. When teaching my goal is always to get children excited about what they are doing and then proceed from there. All children have different strengths and I try to work from those strengths.
