I have recently graduated from Flinders University in South Australia with a MA (Teaching) of Secondary Special Education & year 6-12 Social Studies. In order to earn my degree, I completed two full time years of study and two ten week long formal teaching practicums where I taught a full (standard) course load in two grade levels of English, Social Studies, Health and Cross curriculum studies. I was a part time Aboriginal Education Officer at the Australian Mathematics & Science School, where I taught groups of students different English language and study skills. While studying for my Masters in Education I realized that in order to be effective as an educator, I must be a lifelong learner. My goal is to pass on this philosophy to all my students. Children and adults find me capable and successful in teaching content. I strive to make my lessons engaging and interesting and pride myself for creating and implementing a safe and friendly learning environment.
