I believe all children can learn, but that all children learn differently. Having taught special education, I had a range of grade levels in my class. Very often the students would be spread out over three grade levels. Because of this, I am extremely good at tailoring my instruction to different levels and learning types. A Little Bit About Me...

My love of the French language led me to pursue my BA specializing in the language and culture in college. After college I immediately traveled to France on a very generous scholarship from Rotary Foundation. This permitted me to live and study at a very old and prestigious university in Poitiers, France. I also tutored the children of my host family in English to earn a bit of extra money for traveling. I learned Spanish while in the Army for the purpose of intelligence gathering. The importance of education has always been clear to me. I was born into a middle class family without a lot of resources. It became obvious to me that if I desired to pursue higher education I would have to qualify for scholarships and grants. I earned a bachelor degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Radio and Television. I was able to do voice over work at area radio stations. I graduated with a double major from Fairfield University where I was involved with volunteer groups that tutored middle school aged children from surrounding areas.
