Diverse background with ability to adapt learning

I believe that a lack of success in academic's is usually attributed to one of two things; a lack of motivation(it's not fun enough) or a misunderstanding of the fundamentals(which brings a feeling of hopelessness). This is particularly true in foreign languages. Many times a person must rewire their brain when it comes to learning a new language. My goal in tutoring is to help students not just fix a problem but create an overall understanding of what they are learning. I also like to focus on making goals and increasing motivation to learn. It is important to me to teach not only those skills but work on life values like respect, curiosity, creativity, and comprehension.

Ready to love learning

Adaptive. I have a background in experiential education and believe that the method is not as important as the end result of having assimilated, understood, and taught back the information.
