My comments on tutoring Psychology : My bachelor's degree is in Psychology.

I like to make learning an interactive process as I believe students are more likely to retain what they learn when they have an active role in their success of understanding the material. Although I establish that I am the one in charge, I try to create a relaxed environment where the student feels comfortable enough to be open with their struggles, concerns, and questions. I don't give away answers, but am there to help the student realize that they have what it takes to find the answers on their own. I am simply there to help them find it until they feel comfortable to do it by themselves.
I received a 34 on the reading section of the ACT and a 32 on the English section. I am graduating in May with a BS in Psychology at the University of Kentucky. Young inexpensive tutor with modernized teaching strategies

Currently a student pursuing a Master's in Accounting and my CPA. I am a double major in Business Administration and Accounting from Transylvania University. I have worked with elementary aged students since I was about 16 years old and I have now progressed into tutoring high school and college students.

I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. I don't think I have really developed a "unique style" by only teaching a year or so. I am a very patient person and I really like to see the "sparkle" in a students eye, when they truly understand something for the 1st time. I like to explain a concept and then give the student a problem and see if they get it. If not, I will go over as many times necessary...until they understand the material.

Some students benefit from closely studying the textbook in a course, whereas others became easily overwhelmed reading large amounts of text and instead required a more interactive learning atmosphere based on discourse.
