Teaching to me is about how to engage the student. The material that is prepared for daily lessons can be nothing more than just words to some students. The instructor must become one with the student and understand them on their level. Once you can see eye to eye with your students, then you can begin to help them learn and grow. I like to teach all age levels. I try to teach in a way that allows them to learn best. Every student has their own way of learning, some are more visual while others are more text driven. I feel that educators play an important role in helping students figure out how to learn best and motivate them to want to continue learning more. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a playwright for the last ten years, which is why I chose to get my BA in writing. Being involved in extensive reading and writing programs in and out of school has given me a deep appreciation for words. Over the course of my education, I was fortunate enough to tutor several young students struggling with reading and writing, as well as weekly creative writing workshops with elementary students.
