Need a good Math tutor? Look no further!

I have been a tutor since high school. In HS I tutored for ESL (English as a Second Language). More recently I have been a Math tutor at Augsburg College. Calculus I is one of my top subjects!

I am a sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis studying biomedical engineering. I am a former Princeton Review ACT Teacher. This job taught me how to use the Socratic method to help students discover how to solve problems on their own. I used this experience as an ACT teacher to perfect my tutoring skills. I am currently a Math Mentor for Washington University students. I am looking to expand my tutoring opportunities.
I believe in using the Socratic method. This method is a powerful tutoring device because it allows students to come up with the answers on their own. This is key to developing a full understanding of the material.

Students are encouraged to come up with the answers by leading them toward the answer and this involves using past experiences and knowledge leart earler instead of being given the answers.
