Don't risk your grade/money on mere paper qualifications

My teaching style relies heavily on feedback from the client. I try to have a phone call with a student to learn what they are having difficulty with but also what their professor might expect from them. Then I get a good sense of their personality to understand the best way to get ideas across to them. There are often roadblocks to learning such as personal hangups or self doubt that must be addressed. Other times it is just a matter of understanding what the person does or does not get.
You will see many ads by former or current professors trying to make a buck on the side. They are terrible tutors - they spent their whole careers having students beg them for a better grade. My comments on tutoring Political Science : I earned my B.S. in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy. I would be happy to teach this subject or any other social science to an aspiring Political Science major or someone who simply wants to pass their class.

I am a 2011 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science. During my education, I was exposed to many subjects, ranging from Electrical Engineering to European Literature. The most important things I learned during my time there were time management and study skills, because without a strong foundation in those subjects, one can not excel in others.

Over the past five years I have worked as a Teacher/Instructor both the the legal field and in the public school setting with students diagnosed as ED and LD as well as being displaced from the normal public school setting. Even though my academic degrees are in the legal field I have stayed current in areas of Reading and Math from Basic Algebra to Geometry.
I believe that a student who lacks the basic fundamental skills in reading and mathematics will struggle to stay focused in class and continually be disruptive and ultimately stop attending school. A Little Bit About Me...

I want to help and make a difference in each student that I tutor. I like to reach out to all of my students. I learn each of my students name and have them see that I want them to well. I also feel that students should be given assignments to work on during class and not lectured the entire time.
I have always had a passion for teaching and helping to educate people. I have earned a BS in Business Administration and a MS in Accounting.
