Have utilized knowledge of biologic sciences on a day to day basis for the past fourteen years because of job, school, and surical resident training. Having fun is a requirement. Learning in an environment where stress is taken out of the equation is paramount to retention of knowledge and key to success. I utilize anecdotal methods to convey concepts so that a student can relate the knowledge to how it fits into their own life or past experience.I try to get around rote learning when possible. However, when pure memorization is unavoidable, I have methods to incorporate that are tried and true and still hinge on the foundation of using anecdot. I graduated from Union College in June of 2008 with a BS in Biology. Due to hard work and dedication, I received my BS in three years instead of four. I have been substitute teaching for almost a year for many different grade levels. As of recently, I have been tutoring students in mathematics.
