After graduating in 1996, I opened my own tutoring service in Dickson, TN. I tutored individuals from public schools and home school in Math, Reading, and several other subjects needed until 2001. At this time I left Dickson and moved to Clarksville, TN and tutored with A+ Math tutoring intil 2006.
Seeing the look and smile on the face of a student that finally grasps a concept, or realizes they have just read on their own for the first time, OH What a Feeling!!! I take each child as their own individual knowing they have their own needs in learning a subject. I teach in several different ways as to ensure the child grasps what they need. I have spent over 30 years in business and financial consulting. My lifelong passion has been for mathematics and education. I have reached a point in my career where I can focus on giving back of my talents to students through mathematics education. I have minimal formal teaching experience (student teaching and adult education at the college level). But my career has included extensive education and training of adults from diverse skill levels and cultural backgrounds. I am well versed in the real-life application of mathematics in business, finance, and insurance.
