Depending upon the prescribed materials used by the school or tutoring company, I have a student centered approach to teaching. I find which approach motivates an individual student; listening, reading, writing, speaking and ensure that that method is incorporated in to my lessons. I have also found that elementary age children often need to move around if I tutor them at the end of the day. I have a sense of humor, maintain classroom organization and enjoy knowing my students. The last day is a joy for them but always includes moment of nostalgia for me.

So I used my business mindset to give my young clients(students) stories that were of interest to them and I made sure that the stories were easy reading and I gradually got the kids to read "at grade level".
