A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating in 1996, I opened my own tutoring service in Dickson, TN. I tutored individuals from public schools and home school in Math, Reading, and several other subjects needed until 2001. At this time I left Dickson and moved to Clarksville, TN and tutored with A+ Math tutoring intil 2006.
Seeing the look and smile on the face of a student that finally grasps a concept, or realizes they have just read on their own for the first time, OH What a Feeling!!! I take each child as their own individual knowing they have their own needs in learning a subject. I teach in several different ways as to ensure the child grasps what they need. I see children today as my future for tomorrow, so helping them and making a difference in their lives will make a difference in mine. I have not forgotten any individual I have helped to this day.

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and a minor in Biochemistry ins 2007 from the University of Colorado. I attended the University of Hawaii briefly where I was a teaching assistant for freshman level general chemistry lab. I taught lab, prepared quizzes, tests, and oversaw the general safety of my students. I also during this same time worked in the tutorial room where students of all levels of chemistry could come in with questions regarding homework, quizzes, and questions prior to the exam.
I believe in teaching by example. I know especially in chemistry, examples help see the proper technique and variables needed to solve the problem. I have worked for an after school program for the past five years. In this position I was able to tutor students and help them with their homework. The experience I have is with students in grades kindergarten through 4th grade. I did my student teaching in a preschool and a 2nd grade classroom. In the after school program and the student teaching experience I helped students with all school subjects including english, math, science, social studies and reading.

I recieved my bachelor degree which helped my develop strategies to guide children with their reading comprehension as well as math skills. I have been a classroom teacher for three years.
