After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language. After over 20 years of experience I know that children are different and possess unique qualities and various skills. They learn at different rates, have different interests and sometimes need different approaches to teaching. I know all children can learn and it is a joy to see that learning take place. I have usually used a developmental approach with hands on activities.

A Little Bit About Me...

In addition to completing accounting courses for my B.S. in Accounting, I completed two courses in Child Development and Education, and all college level math courses through Calculus. I have tutored students in math since 1989. At Juniper Elementary in Bend, OR, I was a Good News Club teacher and volunteered as a reading specialist working to improve reading skills of struggling students.
