My comments on tutoring Italian : I returned from Palermo, Sicily in late December, 2014. I had been there working and living since June, teaching English to Italian children and adults. I have been going to Italy since 2010 annually and absolutely adore all things Italian. Speaking Italian is like eating cake with every word.

I truly believe conversation is the best way to learn a new language. There are many people who study grammer and vocabulary on paper for years, but when they are finally put in a real situation in which they are required to speak the language, all of their training fails them because they never did the most basic and important thing, which is to practice making the sounds with your mouth, practice saying the new words, practice actually using the new grammer structures.
I have always had a strong passion for languages and perhaps because of this have done extensive traveling. I have lived in several countries and speak several languages. In my adventures I have found time and again that the easiest, most effortless and fastest way to learn a language is to immerse oneself in that culture. Why? Italian is one of my top subjects! Originally from the Chicagoland area, I lived and worked in Milan, Italy for 15 years. I love the language and would love to teach it to you and/or your kids!

It depends on the subjects I'm teaching and the needs of the students.
After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Business Management/Marketing, I set out for Milan, Italy and immediately found work teaching English and Business English there. I taught all ages (from 6 to 60), both individual lessons within the homes of the students or at my home, or individual and group lessons within big companies. One of my biggest clients was UPS Italia where I sometimes taught for seven to eight hours a day. After doing this for seven years, I found a job within a publishing house based in Milan. I eventually became the International Sales Manager there, and I still work for this company on a freelance basis doing translations and sales. I currently work from home as a writer, translator, and tutor.
