Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach.
After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education. After I find out what the student desires to do with the knowledge, I show the student not only how to do something, but why. Also show alternate ways to do the same task to allow them to do the one that they are comfortable with. After showing, I have the student do the actual work, helping them through it. Real world examples are shown, concepts introduced, real skills practiced. We move on when student is ready to move on.

My undergraduate degree was Management though the University of Florida and I am also pursuing my MBA degree at UF. My strong subject is math, any type of math. I graduated from college with a degree in education. Due to the ecomony back then, I switched to Computers. While I currently am a Computer Manager I have taught any many Technical schools and colleges trhoughout the years. In my positions as a manager, you are always training and teaching those who have a litle less experience than you.
