A Little Bit About Me...

As a young student I was very motivated to attend medical school at a young age. I received a bachelor degree, BS, in biology with minors in both psychology and chemistry. After graduating with my undergraduate degree early, I unexpectedly found a passion for teaching. Currently, I am working towards my masters degree, MS, in biology. Along with this I have been teaching introductory science labs for the university. I also, enjoy tutoring, one-on-one, students ranging from 2nd grade to undergraduates, in my spare time. My tutor experiences include interacting with special needs student as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in chemistry and alongside I had taken many biology classes as a prerequisite for pharmacy school.At UA I skip a couple of math and physics classes and got placed in Calculus II and Physics II. I attended pharmacy school for couples of years, where I took some advance biology classes and was very involve in group assignments and group study. I have actively been involve in tutoring students at lower grade levels to me for a total of three years. I have a variety of experience. Most of my tutoring experience is with older students, aged 15 or older. However, I feel that I could work with younger kids as well. I love learning, and I get excited when a student fully grasps the material. I try and reinforce a teachers method of teaching. The methods of teaching I was instructed when I obtained my Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron Ohio, from 1989-1991, was the following Integrated, Whole language approach and Montessori. The method we were instructed to use in the Akron city school system was Integrated which uses basic and whole language approach language Arts. These integrated units allow us the opportunity to make sure children are learning relevant information and applying that knowledge to real life scenarios.
