A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of Appalachian State University's Early Childhood program. I gained experience through my undergraduate internships and practicums as a student. I have worked in conjunction with university faculty in a rigorous university lab program that models best practices for early learning and development. This program serves as a site for teacher training. I have experience working with children with special needs, as well as typically developing children ranging in age from 1-5. I enjoy working with children and adults and helping them discover the resources they have within them. My job as a teacher is to put myself out of work by providing my students with all the tools they need to become proficient, motivated self-learners. I believe we learn best by doing.
