Essentially my teaching style is through showing the proper tools to use for solving an algebra problem. Once the proper tool is understood, algebra is just like following a series of instructions, much like a cookbook. From past personal experience, I understand how confusing and intimidating algebra can be. I will strive to make my students confident with their algebra skills.
I recently finished my PhD. in biomedical engineering at UCLA. I also have a background in rocket propulsion analysis. With my skills, I am fully confident I can teach and tutor algebra. I have over a year in experience as a teaching assistant at UCLA.

I've always have had a passion for children and teaching children. My 10 years experience in being the Director of Children Ministry at my church has enabled me to be creative, open minded and flexible when dealing with educating young minds. I believe that all children have the potential if they had someone to help them fuel their fire within them...so they can see the gold ring when they reached for it!
I chose to earned my BS in Microbiology and minor in Chemistry because it was one of the hardest major. I did this in four years while married with three children. As an undergraduate student at the University of California Santa Barbara I found and nurtured a love to pass-on learned experiences to others. The program I was heavily involved with was named MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement). Being an engineer, I tutored students at different High Schools and found great pleasure in seeing how other kid's faces could 'sparkle,' when they found-out that they could solve problems which they may have not even of attempted had they not felt as if someone was there with them on their 'journey of learning.'
I am a 'relaxed' teacher, but maintain - or try to maintain - a good study pace.
