I am a firm believer in demanding excellence from my students. Also, without a goal one cannot achieve anything; therefore we set challenging goals, and utilize every resource in our capacity to achieve those goals. To take the student on the most challenging course as an educator sometimes we must take the course with them. Rather than teach to the student, we immerse ourselves into the lesson as a learner and play the inquisitive intellectual, prodding ideas and eagerness from our students. A Little Bit About Me...

Over the last nine years I have pushed myself to succeed in academics. In 2010 I graduated with my masters degree in biology. During this time, I gained a strong understanding in many areas of science and math. I have experience writing research papers, laboratory reports, abstracts, grants, and oral and poster presentations. I have mentored students of all ages in science and statistics.

I graduated with two bachelor degrees(in English Literature and in Theater Arts). I had planned to continue my graduate studies to obtain my Oregon Teacher's Certificate. Due to legislation, there was a radically decreased need for teachers. I decided after my children were grown to return to school to obtain a Masters' degree. I have been a substitute teacher in Oregon for tutoring/detention while a teacher was on medical leave, and was a teacher's aide in California. I was also the team's scribe and grammatist while in graduate school. The other memebers of the team would submit their parts of the project and I was in charge of making sure everything was properly edited and grammatically precise.
