Generally I will try to ask questions to see which specific points a student needs assistance with and make sure they understand the material on a fundamental level. I also believe that practice and hands-on experiences teach the most, so there tends to be an emphasis on working through problems step-by-step than lecturing. Ultimately I am flexible, and can change my style and routine to accommodate the students' needs.
While at the University of Tulsa I have tutored in both math and chemistry, so I have experience with those subjects in particular. Though I received a bachelors in Psychology I was also pre-med, so I was required to take several heavy science courses as well. As such I am also proficient in several biological subjects.

I am a Psychology major at the Univeristy of Central Oklahoma with a minor in Art and Sociology. (GPA: 3.5) I also have previouse tutored at Kumon. I am a very hard working student and I expect others to be hard working as well. There is not shame in saying that you need help. We all do at one poing in time or another. I myself have had tutoring in the past. Some things are hard to understand and we just need a little help from someone else. I promise not to be a stick in the mud but I will make sure that the job gets done and you recieve what you have paid for.
I like to study in different ways. Challenge the mind and retain the knowledge. Play games to help study, hands on experience, field trips, and organization.

My teaching style is based largely on the priority academic student skills for Oklahoma. I have used Alpha Plus, Study Island, Destination Success by Riverside, Literacy First, You Can Learn, and Buckle Down software and written materials. I utilize several self motivating materials. I teach them how to acquire relevant data, how to retain it,and retrieve prior knowledge. My strength, is giving students a sense of pride, accomplishment, and building their self esteem.
