A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy helping others and thereby learning about myself in the process. I believe my teaching style revolves around communication, compassion, and finding the best way for the student to grasp the lesson or idea presented. I feel that everyone has their own way of comprehension and the challenge is for me to discover it. I have taught primarily college and university level students ages 18+. I have tutored Math, English, Wildlife Biology, and Cell Biology. I never claim to have all the answers, only many ways of finding them.
My professional background is primarily in marine mammal behavioral biology. I have 10 years field experience studying whale and dolphin habitat use, foraging behavior, and human interaction occurances. I would describe my style as disciplined and organized yet fun and enthusiastic. I am a very compassionate person and I am very sensitive to young people and their feelings. I realize that everyone learns differently. I am adaptable and like to put lots of individual effort into my students. My specialties are Spanish Language and Art.
