I have recently graduated from Grove City College (PA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is probably best suited to high school and college students. Although I successfully helped my own 3 children through their elementary school, high school and college years, my tutoring experience has been with older students. My wife is a Montessori trained teacher so I have absorbed that method for tutoring. Each student must be viewed as an individual to define the areas of weakness and fill them in. It is only when the student understands the basics of a subject that they can build a future in it.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate in meteorology with a minor in math, I have had plenty of experience with math and science. I have had the pleasure of sharing this knowledge by tutoring children in these fields. My first experience occurred when I was a senior in college: I tutored students in math individually and in groups. It was enjoyable to assist students in Algebra up to Calculus. My basic teaching style utilizes a multimedia approach since different students learn in different ways (audio, visual, or hands-on). I like using simple “demo” experiments to show the “magic” of chemistry. Demos are then backed up by showing the chemical equations to explain what is actually going on. I also tend to use a lot of analogies, that students can related to. I access web information to help explain chemical concepts in creative ways.
