I've always enjoyed tutuoring others because of the joy I get from seeing them learn new things. I love to see them experience a sense of accomplishment. Knowing that I could be part of their success, is a feeling that is undescribable. I was a parent volunteer in my children's elementary school for 4 to 5 years. I was a substitute teacher in grades 1 thru 4. I tutuored my two children for two years. Since my years as an undergraduate student, one of my passions has always been giving back to the community through tutoring and mentoring. Over the past eleven years, I have tutored countless times, particularly in research paper and essay writing (in various disciplines), literature, and even mathematics. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education and seek to continue giving back in this way! As an Education Director at a Boys & Girls Club, I taught in the non-traditional sense, through after school literature-enhancing programming of various kinds. When I earned my BS in English, with a thirty credit business minor, I already had fifteen years experience working in a family run retail store. I have since worked a range of jobs including teaching business, computer and English classes. I also worked as a computer systems installer, service manager and office manager. I bring to my teaching a wide range of experience combined with a strong understanding of my subject areas.
