Over the last 4-6 years I've had to teach coworkers the intricacies of engine technology (basic hydrocarbon breakdown and nitrogen depleting systems) to basic geometry and electrical circuits ( from creating concentric bends in pipe to large scale automated systems). I have not taught english to an 11th grader in a public school, but I make it a fact to learn everyday and spread the knowledge to whomever i come into contact with and is willing to learn. I am a Special Education teacher by education and by choice. My teaching style is one that can be changed at any time to answer the learning style of a student. I am a hands-on, multiple teaching style person because I know that students do not learn by using just one learning style. I am a very patient teacher. If it seems someone is 'just not getting it' I will try a different approach. People learn at different levels, and what works for one does not always work for another; therefore,finding the way for each individual student is the key. I have also found that most people learn a task by 'hands on' learning, not listening to how it should be done.
