Through encouragement and with a lot of creative hands on writing experience, I allow the pupil to make the mistakes they normally would and then through subject attention we progress through the necessary adjustments to form a writer who excels and enjoys the field.
Current college student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Received 5s (the best score) on both AP writing assessments while in high school. Have never received a grade lower than an A in any writing related class during my academic career. I have a knack for teaching and I tutor my peers and friends in college writing courses. I am a firm believer that strict memorization does not allow the student to broaden their ability to solve problems of various flavors. I encourage the student to understand the concepts to avoid tedious memorization. Additionally I believe children learn best in an environment where they do not feel intimidated or nervous.
