A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with all children. Everyone learns different and there are different techniques that you can use for different kinds of children. The goal is for the child not to get frustrated and to enjoy learning.
I went to University of South Carolina and I helped with some of the teachers with their tutoring sessions. I also helped with tutoring in high school. I have just recently moved to TN and I am looking for a fun and different kind of job where I am able to help people.

I am currently an undergraduate student studying communications. I have held four collegiate journalism internships, two of which were federal internships in Oak Ridge, Tenn. In the past year, I served as assistant managing editor of my collegiate newspaper, The Oracle; served as assistant editor of the collegiate yearbook, The Eagle; and I served as a teaching assistant for the freshman introduction to journalism course at TN Tech University. I am a graduate of Bryan College with a degree in Music Education, having taken many education classes and completed a semester of student teaching at the elementary and high school level in Rhea County schools. My prior experience in teaching comes from over 5 years of teaching piano lessons to beginning through advanced students from age 4-adult. While at Bryan, I was a tutor for music theory students as well as assisted and edited English and literature papers and essays.
I have a great love of teaching and guiding young people in their academic studies. My approach to teaching or tutoring is open and involves as much personal encouragement as I can.
