I have my Nebraska Initial Teaching Certificate for 7-12 Language Arts. Within my Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Sciences, I earned my K-12 provisional English as a Second Language endorsement as well as my 7-12 Language Arts endorsement. Starting my college career as an elementary education major and ending it a secondary education major, I have had education related to and experience with teaching students grades 1-12. I prefer to let my tutoring sessions to be student led. What that means is that rather than treating the sessions like a teacher-student interaction, I let the student take responsibility for the work they want to improve. I have found that students who take control of their own education as opposed to being told to do so perform much better.
Currently completing a double major (english/psychology) at the University level. I graduated in the top 10% of my high school class with Honors/AP credit. I have been a strong student all through out my educational career with a passion for learning and teaching others. I have previous experience tutoring in both English, ESL, and Math, working with students K-12 and some college level.
