I especially like working with High School students.Initially, they can be quite a challenge to work with, but once they are engaged they are fully immersed in the topic! I like to be creative and interactive! I was a difficult High School student so I can relate to many that get bored with some topics. I really like to use transactional teaching methods. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked in Mathematics Education for the past 25 years. I worked with elementary and middle school students for the first five years I taught. I then taught high school math for 1 year and have since taught adults at the University level. I spent 17 years at Heritage University and throughly enjoyed my adult students. I now teach for Yakima Valley College and enjoy these students too. I have two degrees, a BS in Math and a Master's in Math Education. I have tutored many students in math also. I attended Heritage University for 3.5 years in pursuit of my Nursing degree. I have taken College math, written many college papers, and studied alot of science along the way. I also cordinated a mentor program through YVCC for almost two years. I have recently changed paths and with obtain my BA in criminal justice in less than a year.
